How does it work ?
Each yacht will be owned
by and registered to a UK limited liability company known
as the Registered Owner, who in turn will hold the yacht
in trust for the syndicate members. The Registered Owner will enter into a management agreement with Magellan Lloyd to run and manage the yacht for the term of the syndication. Note: on completion of our standard questionnaire ‘NEXT STEP’ we will be pleased to send you full documentation covering the ‘syndication agreement’ and ‘management agreement’. We suggest that you seek independent advice before entering into any contractual commitments.

Each syndicate scheme consists of ten syndicate members and runs for a fixed period of five years. Each member will pay 1/10th of the cost of the boat i.e.: the amount paid by the Registered Owner. In addition, each member will pay an annual maintenance fee equal to 10% of his 1/10th cost, such payment to be paid quarterly in advance.
At the end of the five year period the yacht will be sold
on the open market and the proceeds (less a commission fee
of 15%) distributed equally between the syndicate members.
Most boat owners stay boat owners and it is the intention and desire of Magellan Lloyd for all syndicate members to acquire another yacht.
